THE INTERVIEW:

  1. Could you please tell us a little about your book? This story is about a group of friends with very different personalities who party hard, do drugs and go through life struggles together. Within this group of friends is Chase, who discovers what it feels like to experience true love at its finest. Throughout this tale, he endures undeniable pain both physically and emotionally, comprehends being alone for the first time, and discovers what it feels like to have a death in his family to away the meaning to his life. His mental state is tested throughout these series of events, bringing him to the brink of insanity. He is ultimately forced to make a decision that will stay with him for years to come, if not the rest of his life. Come take a hard look insides a weathered, imperfect, but genuinely beautiful mind.
  2. Who or what is the inspiration behind this book? This is a funny question, because a lot of people think I’m crazy after telling them the inspiration behind this book. My inspiration and purpose of writing this book is, because I feel so deeply, madly, and unexpectedly in love with my best friend Kaarina.
  3. What cause are you most passionate about and why? Helping people is what I’m most passionate about. If I had to guess I would say I got this trait from my mother. There is no specific reason why I enjoy helping people; I just do!
  4. Do you have any rituals you follow when you finish a piece of work? This is my first artist piece of work that I started and finished. As far as rituals goes; I don’t not have any besides thanking God, and having a beer or two!
  5. Who has influenced you throughout your writing career? By far my writing career just started, but I would have to say F.Scott Fitzgerald would be one of my favorite authors!
  6. What are some long terms goals? Some long terms goals for me would be for the whole world to read my story, and hopefully gain another life changing experience to write a part two to my story!

Brett Walker was born and raised in Poughkeepsie New York. He is a first time author and is very excited about this story he has put together for readers to enjoy. What inspired him to write this story is the ups and downs people go through in life. Brett Walker is one of those guys who you don't expect to make it very far- A product of the hood and the suburbs, the underdog, an everyday example of what it is to be human... but this is what is so appealing about his story. He is just like you, just like the rest of the world. He has fell in love suffered heartbreak, and lost loved ones who meant the world to him, but somehow he has survived. Somehow he has surpassed everyone's expectations, and he has thrived
